When I was young I knew someone whos friend stole from her mother. The friend took a lie detector test and passed, despite them knowing for a 100% fact she did it. Supposedly, you can just put something in your shoe so that it presses against your skin, and then focus on that pressure while you answer instead of actually thinking too hard about the responses youre giving. She said a metal plate, but I think, it could be anything, as long as you have something to focus on and keep from thinking too hard about the answers. The trick is to not think "Oh no, thats the important question" and just answer with a blank mind - as far as I understand it.
