Halloween special airing next week and the Phineas and Ferb crossover begins tomorrow apparently according to this preview for Saturday's episode. Also this might be a thing that stretches over multiple episodes instead of being just one special.
I wonder why this show didn't catch on like it's predecessor.

They really mishandled the episode. It's hardly a crossover since Doof only shows up in the last few seconds of the episode, and the follow up wont air until next year. Plus announcing it as a crossover spoils the surprise of Doof showing up.
