Different user. Just because something is somewhat bubbly in artstyle and isn't the absolute worst thing of the trash heap doesn't make it some fun amazing thing. You can have fun with this but at the end of the day it's ultimately extremely mediocre. It's artstyle while cute just doesn't mix well with the events we're seeing. Especially here with some dark future created from Gwen and her reality powers. The tones are clashing completely. And that's just here in the newest issue.

Consider for a moment that "Cute round and bubbly" often emphasizes the dark tone by creating contrast to it. This is why the murder of Cecil in the first issue of Gwenpool is shocking, as with the "cute round and bubbly" style it's unexpected.

Because she's nothing but a cheap on the fly made character who's greatest saving grace is having an alright artist when they aren't doing action scenes. Character concept is stupid, concept of reality manipulation didn't really come in till the later issue, and art shifts dramatically in terrible directions. Fuck this comic. I was initially unimpressed with the gimmick that Gwenpool was just a normal girl who was stumbling her way through things with game and comic knowledge, but now that we're getting into some actual 4th wall breaking and she's turned self-awareness into a power, and not just a shtick for funny, self-aware writing, it's a lot more interesting. Certainly helps that Hurihiru can pull off this "between the panels" shit with flare and style.
