Apparantly, neither Hillary's campaign nor the White house knew anything about this and they're pissed as fuck, saying Comey is being partisan because he's doing this so close to the elections.

The amount of butthurt and salt ensueing from this is fueling these threads. This is ofcourse a major blow to Hillary's campaign, especially because they didn't have time to form a narrative yet because they only know just as much as we do.

I don't try to do random idiot stuff with my phone, so I'm not sure, but could he have set things up so that any of the emails he viewed through the phone were saved to a cloud storage system? It's the exact sort of incompetence they've shown so far and it would make sense for how we could suddenly get, "Oops, this idiot had the emails the whole time."

This would mean that the FBI could have seen whatever she was hiding and thereby know how truly fucked she is if their contents get leaked. Now Comey is making a play to save his own hide. It seems to be all the pieces falling into place.
