I wasn't paying attention to what was going on with palemoon, and I installed adnauseam as an alternative to a regular adblocker since it actually hits advertisers and traffickers where it hurts. But just today I got that message. That's all. I don't know what's fucking going on either, but it aint good.

Because it does something way better than what ad blockers do. Instead of blocking ads, it "clicks" on them for you and gives the advertiser a visit.

This confuses advertisers because they are no longer able to collect data on you, since you are clicking on everything. It also drives down the ad revenue because the visits are false visits.

Essentially, AdNauseum strips away your ID so that when an ad gets shown it registers as a "non-payable" ad view. Adviews are only payable if they get data on the viewer. But what it also does is send multiple (many…a shitload in fact) of these non-paying adviews even though you are only viewing it once. What that does is screw the website you are visiting because if they have a certain percentage of non-paying adviews the advertising network will drop them.
That is a really shitty way of explaining it, but essentially AdNauseum bombards the websites you visit with data with malicious intent, making it malware. PaleMoon has stuck a flag on it indicating that it is malware, meaning that you have to change your security settings to use it, and has removed it from its extension catalog. Some people view this as PaleMoon dictating what can and can not be run on the browser, which is completely not the case.

Note at the bottom of the page, in the second to the last entry: "you have to make one about:config change to enable the extension"

user above is correct. When PaleMoon says "blocked" what that means is that it is added to their block list, which you do not have to use. And if you do use it, you just need to change the flag in the about:config to allow AdNauseum to run. It does not mean "blocked" in the traditional sense, it just means that they added it to the block list.

I heard Waterfox is an unkiked version of Firefox but don't know if it's true. Waterfox offers the same add ons of Firefox, and one Firefox add on you don't get on another Browser is NoScript; it blocks all JavaScripts on every website you visit and you can choose which JavaScript should be enabled or not. This way you can deactivate all external tracking scripts from paying (((advertisers))). I haven't found one browser who offers such an add on. This is why I want to believe that Waterfox is the better alternative.

Just downloaded uMatrix and you're right, it is infinitely better than NoScript but I am too retarted to figure out what the use is of enabling/disabling things like media, images etc. The script chart is self-explainatory but the rest baffles me. How should I know which images and media I should enable/disable when I don't even know if the site provides them?

i use waterfox and palemoon. palemoon for porn, waterfox for imageboard browsing and video watching.

see, palemoon has this "problem" with Holla Forums where randomly, opening a thread causes it to freeze.
palemoon also has lots of problems with streaming services (namely, that half of them refuse to work on palemoon).
the thing with palemoon is that unlike other firefox forks (like waterfox, which im using to post right now) is incredibly easy on your memory. Firefox forks are SHIT at memory management and can go up to 6Gbs+ of memory consumption just because you opened a couple hundred pictures in tabs, thats bullshit, i have nearly 300 pictures open in palemoon right now and its not even consuming 1gb of memory, but Waterfox? oh no sir, you open youtube and a couple of Holla Forums tabs and bam, 2gb of memory

Palemoon does not load all tabs, just stores the info that you have it opened before loading it. You can actually toggle that in PM options. Maybe it's set to load everything on your waterfox causing huge memory usage?
