Let's have a thread specifically for the discussion of the falsity of the Christian religion based on a number of points, preferably those that are historical/literary. In other words, a thread where the arguments pointing towards Christianity being a man-made religion with no divine revelation or intervention can be compiled.
Anti-Christianity Thread
Do this with Islam.
You can't.
Don't worry, all religions get their turn. But for now, Christianity is on the spotlight.
Rebel would disagree
Only because it's obvious.
Christianity isn't even a threat to today's Left, and you are alienating some of the only people who are in active revolution against Capitalism.
It's entirely counter-productive.
Inb4 copy paste dump from some enlightened source like rationalwiki
And yet there are millions who believe in it as a literal truth, and not only try to base their lives around it, but also try their hardest to force others to structure their lives around it.
And while it's true that the Christian religion is rapidly losing its power, I would not say that it is no longer a threat. It still is.
Bust spooks wherever they lurk, but out and inside of the Left.
Well, you could take the tamed camels in Genesis for starters.
Tamed camels weren't around until David's time, way after even Moses' time.
Please continue

That's because you live in your first world protestant country away from all the terrors of Christianity.
You just keep living your sheltered life you clueless fuck, but I know who is the cunt skimming off the top of the taxes while paying none himself, who screams on a megaphone how fags caused the floods while he strolls around in his hummer truck.
I also bet the christian extremists in africa are very nice people, very unlike the muslims. I bet Russian pravoslavs are good boys didnu nuffin too right? It's just the muzzies.
And I bet the polish knobsuckers, the popes bootlickers and footcleaners are very nice people when they smash in the head of an orthodox man or an atheist man.
You can fuck right off. Christianity is just as inherently reactionary as Islam, the difference is you don't live in an european or south american country.
I live in Europe, and I was raised Catholic.
and where is that?
The Old Testament is fire and brimstone shit-tier nonsense that is a cancer on a secular Christianity.
The New Testament, on the other hand, was pretty forward thinking for it's day and laid a foundation for Socialism; pic related.
The problem is that organised Christianity always chooses to ignore the grander moral of the New Testament ("Don't be a dick to people, pray in private, help the poor") in favour of nitpicking on this reactionary bullshit that's in the Old Testament.
Also, I guess it was historically in the interest of monarchs and then porkies not preach the whole "don't cling so close to your wealth" thing too widely.
None of your business.
Catholicism died in this country when the child abuse scandal broke out. You know the one with the gay, child molesting clerics?
you either live in a protestant country and have no idea what you are talking about or you live in Belgium, which is proto protestant since it's got so many french and Germans.
The Old Testament is part of the Bible because it is part of Christianity, not merely context for it. Christians ignore the "socialist" aspects of it because it is not "socialist", it is the arbitrary demands of a god that is depicted as a colossal asshole that will kill you if you so much as live in the same city as a heretic.
It's the same """""religion of peace""""" that Islam is. The only difference is that the West is used to it and has romanticized it to the point where to most people it is a cultural icon, not a set of divine laws. The Middle East was starting to look the same way until the US and UK fucked everything up.
Why were the Spanish anarchists such massive fedoras?
Tip tip
If you must know, Hibernia.
This.
Protestants pls go.
Perhaps you should read about how the Catholic Church in Spain was an extremely stifling force. Nowhere in Europe besides the Vatican was the Church so strong, so pervasive in the private lives of people and in the government. When the civil war broke out, all that violence against the Church establishment was grass-roots, and meted out in kind.
Kiss kiss
Christianity was a revolutionary movement co-opted by Roman facists
Jesus Christ did not charge interest, neither did Proudhon or Marx. Even hitler didn't like it in his own weird idpol way.
Bottom line. Interest is private pirate propertiering
Okay mate you keep paying those indulgences (the getting into heaven tax)to god-on-Earth the pope.
If it's Roman it ain't Christian
...
Ayy lmao, so you do live in a country that isn't a shithole. Well, there you go.
The horrors of christianity are best felt where there is no government regulation upon it.
also

Thanks, user
Yeah no. I have some respect for catholics, unlike protestants who literally just make shit up.
I will once I read the Koran.
Rationalwiki's discussion of the bowl has to be the most pedantic and retarded argument ever made against the Bible ever.
DROPPED
Lel indeed.
