Bill is a comedian who managed to make it, and as such he has a pretty evident survivor complex, which, coupled with his cynicism, becomes almost reasonable.
Here's Bill take on society: it is unfair, cruel and meaningless, yet the only option one has is to fight it through his own hard work. This is technically true (if you are oppressed being active will certainly improve your life in a way or another, when compared to your starting point), and while he is very critical of it, there is in no belief in any possible change. Basically he is convinced that this is the natural state of human affairs, and that whatever change will arise will be subdued again by the same kind of men who are currently exploiting this system. On top of that, even when he imagines a revolutionary utopia, said fantasy is still grounded on capitalism "done right". In this matter he is far closer to libertarians, although he shares with them none of their "quirks" (cult of virility, racism, general disregard for human rights and so on).

He is certainly not comrade material, nor I know wether he is aiding leftist causes: it's good that he is propagating skepticism about capitalism, but at the same time he is propagating skepticism towards any sort of solution.

Bill is a libertarian who believes that if we killed the Rothschilds and everyone acted the way they did in the 50s that the world would be perfect so not even close

He has some really funny stand up though

He kind of hates libertarians though, and was a pretty solid bernie bro in the last cycle

People misusing the word "sociopath" really grinds my gears.

A lot of libertarians voted for Bernie in the primary because he was "anti-establishment" or "spoke to common people". In a lot of his standup Bill talks about shit like eugenics, conspiracy theories, using gold to pay for stuff etc in a positive light. He literally opens one of his specials by saying he wants a new plague to happen so that it will only kill the weak and depopulate the planet.

Those are jokes and always presented as patently ridiculous, and he's been getting more and more anti-company specifically in the past few years. Half of his new animated sitcom is depiction of bosses that could be porky memes ripped from here. I'm not saying he's a commie or anything, but he's closer to being radicalized than someone like Bro Rogan who actually IS an adamant lolbert.

Haha nothing Jimmy dore has ever said about how shitty the Democrats are can be taken seriously cuz he's just a comedian guise haha

I'm saying the framing of the jokes itself emphasize the depravity of the ideas. My point was pretty far from "jokes are meaningless"

Anyone here used to kinda like him? I still feel like he could be turned socdem pretty easily if 90% of the people he hung out with weren't mentally challenged libertarians and anti-SJW types.

copy pasting a comment I made about him on chapo reddit: I used to like Rogan when I regularly did jiu-jitsu, took LSD once a month and listened to Terence McKenna lectures. The podcast went to shit when complaining about SJW's became the main focus. It was always a bit silly but he used to be kind of a hippie and somewhat sympathetic to the left but now he's basically just Sargon of Akkad but with mushrooms and MMA.

The JRE worship was always dumb because it has never been anything more than a guy and his friends smoking drugs and talking about conspiracy theories, interdimensional machine elves and martial arts, but it used to be really fun and not completely reactionary.

yep bill burr definetly isn't being hyperbolic to be funny he really believes his stand up as an ideology

I think he's already a pretty dedicated lolbert tbh. He just gives off enough of a chill vibe, and is a burger with the stupid "lol i'm a libertarian so i'm in the middle" minset, so it's not super blatant that he's shilling for a specific idea. But it's there. He will rarely invite on a leftist (basically just abby martin because she's hot and a couple incidental leftists like Russell Brand or Peter Joseph who are invited for other reasons), and when he does he pesters them with questions of cultural marxism and tumblr teenager strawmen the entire time.

Angela Davis voted for Hillary Clinton so just shut the fuck up

???????

You don't get it, he is a businessman. He lives in a giant house in Hollywood, drives a Porsche, has his own companies and products and so on.
The guy is a fully committed capitalist, his stoner image is just a reflection of his past self. He still smokes weed, do stupid shit with degenerate comedians and ramble about DMT, but after that shit is done he'll go back in his giant house checking on his portfolio, making investments, planning his big shot MMA apparitions and so on.

To people like him being a socialist is percieved as being a direct threat to one's own private property.

What is funny is that every time he talks about eugenics he includes himself in the culled mediocre masses.
This is a very different outlook on eugenics when compared to the one of racial realist, for example.

It's still promoting eugenics

Now This is Pearl Clutching

The context means nothing? It is absurd. You know what his extermination plan is? Sinking cruise ships, and then build them again afterwards. The logic in this: people who go to cruise ships are usually annoying.
Would you put Bill Burr on the same categories of racial realist lolbertarians? The guy is a libertarian, but not in the way you're thinking.

Put the bourgeoisie's head through a fucking wall

Having watched the latest season of F is for family, it definitely feels like he's got something close to our worldview. He sees the upper classes as basically degenerate parasites who leech off of the labor of the proles, and racism as empty bullshit that divides working people against each other. The combination of distaste for SJWs, strong opposition to racism, and working class solidarity makes him a potential comrade, though he doesn't have a critique of the system itself right now.

Yeah F is for Family is probably the most leftist comedy running right now which is surprising.
