tfw you realize that it doesn't matter what assmad libertardians sperg out online and that the real movement which abolishes the present state of things will inevitably arise out of the material conditions of the future and your only role - if any - will be to play your part to guide the revolution in the right direction as to avoid regression into capitalism

tfw it probably won't even be called communism because it behaves so differently to what people imagine as communism

tfw this gives me deep satisfaction whenever I read a shitpost by a Holla Forumsack

tfw this is probably a shitpost but still better than half of page 1 right now so I'm going to post it anyways haha

maybe theyre just the only ones who also actually read marx who knows

now to diverge from shitposting a bit, i recommend meditation. ever since i started meditating im like this super human who legit doesnt give a fuck about other people sperging out anymore

i am at peak MCE (meme consumption efficiency) as a result

when I posted on RevLeft almost a decade ago before one of the big waves of exoduses, the leftcom posters and the occasional Trot came across as the most clear and well educated posters.

hence even while I was active in a Cliffite group around the same time, I've gravitated towards leftcom ideas, particularly so now that I wouldn't call myself a Trot.

didnt revleft have to create a containment board for leftcoms because they literally got triggered by them shitting on social democracy all the time?

wtf I love leftcoms now

*adjusts position in armchair*

dropped

wow its really that easy?

Leftcoms: Communism will come about by the independent actions of the proletariat.
Anti-leftcoms: Heh nice armchair

Is this because the anti-leftcoms are not proles? They want a role for middle class activists?

i think its because capitalism slowly chokes the life force out of you, so you'd rather believe in activism, even if it is useless

I think that for the most part you are correct, but that there is one task revolutionaries can undertake today that will concretely advance the cause of socialism.

That task is figuring out a fully operational system for economic calculation-in-kind. That is the key element missing from the material conditions necessary for socialism.

We already have the raw productive capacity for general abundance - and have had them for years. What we lack is an economic system that is capable of distributing this abundance equitably without relying on the law of value or an administrative class. Creating an operational system of economic calculation-in-kind will provide the workers' movement with the final tool it needs to kill and bury capitalism once and for all.

The labour of generations of scientists and workers before us means that today we have the technological capacity to build the system that finally frees us from the law of value.

So let's begin. We already have a discussion on the topic running on leftypol:

He gets it.

what is "1917" sir?

Leftcoms suck at phrasing it in a way unread retards fully comprehend it, but their general idea is kind of correct.
People will only start giving a shit about killing capitalism when the capitalism itself starts killing them first, until then people like Sandman are the most edgy things we can get, as they reflect the current view of the masses towards the capitalist system: the people feel they are getting fucked enough to generate support for the individuals with non-establishment ideas, but since said fucking isn't an unbearable assrape without lube, the prevailing Ideology still holds its ground and we are not able to go beyond welfare capitalism in the popular discourse.
At least for now.

how the fuck are people who are trying to change things "opportunists"
that's not opportunism

1917 is analogous to the dog that finally catches the car. Jaws latched to the bumper, asking himself 'Now what?' The Bolshevik party did not have any idea how to implement a post-capitalist economy, and in that lack, they ended up creating some limping, half-addled reproduction of the fundamental injustice of capitalism (namely, minority administration of society's productive surplus).

I disagree, I don't think waiting for capitalism to become even more brutal is the answer. There are plenty of points in history where capitalism has made things noticeably, quickly, significantly worse for people (WW2, neoliberalism) without anybody hearing a peep from the working class. What the working class needs is a clear, viable alternative way of organising the distribution of goods in society.

The October revolution was born from a deep societal crisis in Russia and several years in a world war. Without these things there would never have been enough working class mobilization towards the communist movement.

And yes, it was authentic, but was ultimately killed by a failed international proletarian revolution against capitalism and then deviated into a politics unconcerned with the class struggle.

That's not opportunism. Opportunism is when vocal supporters of the working class' interests engage in a politics that betrays these interests in favor of entirely unrelated struggles.

An example of opportunism:

Has anyone ever read By the Waters of Babylon? It's a short story written by an American author in 1937. It's about a boy from this tribe of primitive people who inhabit the Earth centuries after global civilization is destroyed, probably by nuclear war. In the story the boy goes exploring in the ruins of a great city, which he sees as being built by Gods. The boy ends up exploring an old apartment building, and after having a vision of the past he finds a dead 'God;' actually the mummified remains of a human from the old civilization, sitting in an armchair in a sealed room.

I like to think of this man as The Last Leftcom. An educated man from a powerful industrial civilization, he watched his society grow and change, saw his fellow men overwhelmed by the powers they wielded and the monsters they created. But this man secluded himself, choosing to avoid confronting what he saw taking place. Ultimately his world was annihilated by nuclear fire, his city burned and everyone he knew suffered and died. The Leftcom watched all this from his comfy armchair, smugly satisfied that while he did nothing to try to avert the cataclysm around him, at least he didn't engage in opportunism or interfere with the development of the material conditions.

really ignites the membrane.

I'm sure the Leftcom would've just started wearing a cape and called himself "armchair man" to successfully fight nuclear apocalypse. The moment there is a sufficient amount of Leftcoms to bring about revolutionary change is the moment you would see Leftcoms leaving their armchair.
