What is the most major change in opinion you have experience due to frequenting Holla Forums? For me, it's got to be gun ownership. I've held quasi socialist opinions for years, and upon discovering this board I realized that communism was what I desired all along. But being a Canada-fag and drinking the liberal kool-aid, I'd never had thought I'd be as pro gun ownership as I am now.
How about you?
Jack Powell
Losing faith in God. But that is just leading me to believe that there is no reason to think there is no reason for anything "good" to happen, since all there is to the universe is entropy increasing and we are all along for the ride and I have no will even if I have wants.
Jason Campbell
Who's to say we can't just escape the universe before entropy takes us?
Gavin Butler
Thinking that a workers revolution is actually a desirable thing.
Too many shit theories out there, no real way to predict or control which one will be used.
Austin Stewart
A) Please describe a method to leave the universe, even in theory. Not handwavy bullshit, an actual 'we could maybe build this one day' bit of futurism.
B) I cannot think of any theory of multiple universes where it is both true that other universes have the same laws of physics and that they did not all start at the same time, and thus you'd be arriving at another dead universe.
Anthony Hernandez
Oh but there is a theoretical computer that doesn't take any energy to run. Could upload our minds into that.
Though eventually the great degeneration will destroy that too.
Aiden Kelly
I've completely abandoned activism and I no longer feel a moral duty to go to every stupid rally downtown. I can't thank you enough for this
Asher James
Personally my opinions haven't changed a whole lot due to Holla Forums. They were pretty well set already, probably as I'm one of the oldest people on the board. It's been good for links to reading material, and I might see one or two good posts a day. Besides that this place is not a particularly good influence, it's mostly shitposting and infighting and is just a distraction from doing worthwhile things.
Brody Allen
whoops forgot about my shitposting flag
Brody Walker
I'd agree with that, especially for people who are older and have already been socialist or had their particular political ideology set for a long time. It's been good for me, in that it was the last push I needed to embrace glorious gommunism, while still fighting idpol bullshit I fell in to the anti-sjw youtube crowd for a while, yeesh!. But aside from those two things, and the aforementioned reversal of my opinion on gun ownership, it's no longer benefiting me. I need to put down the keyboard and pick up a couple books.
Charles Lewis
I went from a socdem who wanted to operate a film studio to a libertarian socialist who wants to work with a production co-op to make films with heavy socialist themes. I used to think Stalin wasn't as bad as they said, now I'm sure of it. Before Holla Forums I was spooked into buying vidya from smaller studios, now I don't care. I've read a lot more shit and find it hard to talk about politics to most. I'm convinced traps are gay and femdom is shit.
Leo Green
Capitalism. The whole idea of economic growth and the emphasize on being "productive".
Ryder Thompson
Hire me
Caleb Anderson
pushed me over the edge from being a socdem to a communist
Austin Brooks
I now really fucking hate Stirnerites
Nicholas Martin
I'm kinda in the same boat as you, but for vidya making. Right now it's just me and my friend as equal partners, but do I become a filthy peti-bourg as soon as we hire someone as an employee? He's kinda socdem without knowing it, but he claims to be "pro capitalism" so idk if I could commie pill him. Beyond that, even if I broke it off and tried starting a game making co-op, I still don't know where to begin or how to organize such a thing, or even begin recruiting. I'd almost rather learn how to make the whole game myself and just buy the license for music.
I certainly don't think Stalin is the Super Hitler that lots of people try and make him out to be, but I don't have any particular praise for him either.
As I said earlier, I really need to pick up some books. Abridgements and actually properly sourced infographs can only get me so far.
Lucas Clark
Before Holla Forums I believed the "socialism is big government, taxes, and welfare" meme.
Charles Morris
don't think i'm a communist but i'm at least on board for socialism. Also due to only having political exposure from Holla Forumsyps I was almost swayed to race realism side, though I changed away when I saw actual conherent arguments against it.
Parker Jones
I stopped being a marketcuck. Market socialism is still good as a transitional stage though.
Ethan Brown
What do you mean by this?
Aaron Scott
You welcome fam.
Ayden Moore
The biggest change in opinion for me since I started browsing this board is that I have a much lower opinion of anarchists. They seem to be every bit as irrational regarding the idea of the state as lolberts.
I don't think I've ever seen someone post with an anarcho-nihilist flag who wasn't basically an ancap.
Jaxon Sanchez
Being more terrified of authoritarians than I already was.
Mason Johnson
That was just one autistic annihil in the /econ/ threads.
Juan Thompson
Dropping nationalism and general despooking.
Brody Myers
I understand why people want to throw commies out of helis
Mason Garcia
Why femdom is shit? This is my favourite thing to fap
Robert Williams
Of course you do, you're an ancap.
Lucas Gomez
Would throw out of a collectively possessed heli/10
Justin Powell
Hell is a board full of Ayn Randians posting with silver and black flags.
Nathaniel Thomas
I now fully support nuking the USA.
Aiden Martinez
I only go to liberty to remind them property is theft
Why dont you stop following me around like a retard and instead open books that arent M-L circlejerking tho?
Samuel Howard
...
Carson Scott
Please dont tell me you fell for the bookchin meme
Julian White
Communalism is the future.
Go read more Friedman
Jeremiah Evans
I don't need Bookchin to realize that post-left anarchy is just liberal individualism.
Chase Price
Every single communalist movement has made use of markets and worker cooperatives, you will find resemblance in Proudhon and Tucker writtings
Quite an hypocrite you are user
Leo Davis
None of those are bad things m8
Luis Brown
As a fellow canadafag i would say my biggest shift would also be becoming pro gun ownership followed by accepting that violent revolution using said guns is the best option
Jeremiah Martinez
your future waifu is getting bukkaked right now how's that for purity
Brody Barnes
???
Hudson Powell
I have discovered that National Bolshevism is the future.
John Sanders
Guns are probably my biggest change as well, but in my case I didn't even hate guns as much as I hated American nationalists and unfairly associated the two.
My general worldview has also been heavily altered, which probably happens a lot after you learn that everything you know about Marxism is most likely bullshit.
