DDR brings up some bad memories for me. Not that I ever played it, but I used to go to this gaming cafe(yeah, yeah, I know) when I was in middle school with my friends. They had rows and rows of PCs and it was fun as shit getting in screaming matches over huge LAN games of Counter Strike 1.6. But, there were a few arcade games in the back of the place along with a DDR machine. Without fail, the only people playing DDR were mid-20s goth kids that smelled like absolute death. The bathroom was right next to the DDR machine, and when I went back to piss out all the Monster energy drinks I'd been binge-drinking that night I witnessed the tallest, skinniest goth dude making out with an enormous gothic whale of a woman with pimples on her back on the couch next to the DDR machine. The smell emanating off the both of them was enough to make me almost puke. Now, every time I think of Dance Dance Revolution, I think of those two sorry individuals and have to be reminded that that memory will be forever burned into my brain.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed that game. Not to say I don't typically like Falcom games but I wasn't sure what a japanese "diablo clone" would be like. I should play through that again
