I know imageboard threads are ephemeral in nature and someone can always repost a given topic, but at the same time I've seen a lot of threads on more-or-less the same topics up at once lately.

I like the concept, but feel it's implementation is lacking.

Which one is that? Just saying because as a test, I ran that Dante one through Photoshop's save for web and got it to come out smaller in filesize and without much of a noticable difference in quality.

Scale the logo a bit more and reduce the distance from the corner and see how that looks. You also may or may not want to remove the "chan" text, or change the color of it.

Reworked this slightly to be more for Holla Forums, namely the board name along the side and replacing "Chat" in the options with "Shitpost". Also have a variation without the ingame location text along the top, depending on how people feel about it.

Was still pretty humorous stumbling across what felt like /vr/-tan's house in the game this was from.

Needs more space on the right side of the image. I would recommend taking a proportionally bigger screenshot (say, 330 x 110; really anything that still give a 3:1 ratio and is above the target size will work great), and then scale that down to 300 x 100 The image won't be at 100% scale, but the image won't be so cramped either.

Make sure to keep things proportionate to avoid Aspect Raidou. Also start with large base images, as you can scale images down well, but upscaling tends to look like shit. Leave breathing room between objects added over the top and the background to prevent it feeling cramped (IE: nudge logo and/or text away from the corner a bit). Bear in mind how the eye is drawn around the banner-to-be, as well as how animation effects might add or detract from the overall feeling (IE: that reply scrawl of the "Tifa's dicks" post that Mark added a while back; the scroll down through the hundred of replies builds interest before the actual post text makes the punchline). And if cropping, remember to keep 300 x 100, or multiples there-of (450 x 150, for instance; multiples can be easily scaled to the target parameter) in mind.

Could at least squash the logo top to bottom to keep with the (bad) effect your complaining about, user.

Still has work to be done. My advice: dig into the CSS and figure out what font, font size, and hexcode that the board names use, and then just add the "Holla Forums" as regular text in whatever program you're using.
