Some time ago when the game was first released people talked about the translation quality, with input from the translators on the retranslation team. Overall the game's pretty good on that front, most dialogue is preserved as is character intent. Some things like Basilicom are still referred to as such rather than as a temple/church/cathedral due to longstanding localization conventions (ie: why Mega Man is still Mega Man), and there's one minor English invention in the script (it's an fullchan-backported-to-cuckchan reference). But it's x100 better than Rebirth 2 and the NISA Neptunia games, and a bit better than Rebirth 3 which also had enough problems to warrant a repair. Roughly it is comparable to Rebirth 1, which is also largely quite good but did get a "Rub-a-dub-dub thanks for the grub" even with a native Japanese doing that translation.

Guys are already in Neptunian and the games are fine. The SI from Noire as game doesn't count since he was a pussy.

Anonydeath was okay. Mr. Badd was meh. The SI from PP was good. Umio is fantastic. Steamax is one of the best characters/bros in the series.
Dismissing all males because the SI from a single spinoff was bad (which let's be honest, Hyperdevotion was a pretty mediocre game even if it didn't have the SI, so it's not like his existence hurt or helped the game since it was already so bad) is just disrespectful for all men who want to nep.

I played and enjoyed the original, I didn't really notice any notable let along significant difference in the 'standard'/goddess route as far as Fang was concerned. And if I'm understanding your post correctly; you're saying you found the additional character development of fang 'outstanding' in the standard/goddess route?

Like my overall impression was that Goddess route was more or less 'story-wise' identical to default ending in FFF (except there was now a Harler route or something as opposed to the original Alyn and Tiara endings) except for ethel and apolloinious showing up earlier.

With 3 routes being labelled as "goddess", "evil goddess" and "vile god" when I was looking them up; Goddess and Vile God are both possible on first run (by pulling less than 7, or pulling more than 7 from vile god prior to first 'reset' dungeon). While "evil goddess" (which I'm guessing is what your 'false goddess' is referring to requires you to pull more/all swords from the vile god prior to reset dungeon than you could get WITHOUT ng+ at that point.

Well she had the most anticipated side-game. And she's overall a decent and well-adjusted person when she's not in NEET mode.

The short of it is that Fang goes from being his dumbass self in the beginning to being the goddamned savior in the end, kind of typical as JRPGs go but I found the particular method they did it originally was actually pretty good. Most of that development comes post-time loop as he reflects on what he's done, what he needs to do and what's really important. Anyway the problem with the other two routes is that that doesn't really happen. He just sort of changes on a dime because the plot demands it and we don't really get to see any of the actual development.

I could try to go into detail about the specific scenes and such but I probably wouldn't be able to describe it very well. The point is that it happens over the course of pretty much the whole second half of the game in the goddess route, you can even hear how Fang changes in the combat voices after he merges with Eryn.

Based on what I've seen in terms of 4GO graphics, the minimum system specs required for 4GO will probably be an entire league higher than they were for V-II. This is considering V-II was very toaster friendly as well. Higher fps will also be desirable because this game is real time combat instead of turn based.

No specs announced yet, but just by looking at the game you can see that it will require a lot more than V-II. Way bigger areas with way more scenery and mobs. Not to mention the huge jump in graphics. Even on lowest settings it will still be really different from V-II. Don't look up the official minimum specs for V-II and think this will need to be way higher than that though, the official specs are far more than you need.

Guess this will be my excuse to build a computer.

I'll bet you anything on UE4 being leagues better optimized than anything CH/IF has ever made. It's only a question of how poorly IF screws over the engine despite its optimizations. What you can expect is something around V-II, but theoretically it has potential to run even better than V-II.

Yep. Nep still prefers to beat shit down with her sword, but Vert and Blanc are now pretty good about healing. Vert uses her elemental enchantments much more often too, though still seemingly at random, so if you want a specific element, you'll have to put that element and that element alone in her skill slots. Now if they could just get Nepgear to spam tier 4 spells on bosses, the AI would be a cut above the average gamer.

Sounds like they went the Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen approach for the mages.
Think of it as them balancing the game so enemies don't die too quickly.
