Living in smaller communities is the way forward and within those communities there should be a role for a shamanistic type character, who is connected spiritually and aware. The problem with society today is as you've said: it's a giant melting pot. That means there's only a handful of positions to go around, with millions of people competing for that position, this is way you need a fucking degree in fashion to work in a retail store as a sales assistant or a degree in chef arts to work in mc D's. The competition is so high and every business is in the position where it wants to "Optimise" it's performance to the best and they can do that too because even in smaller places you have people applying for jobs that are so highly skilled because they can't get work in the higher fields because up there the competition's even harder and the pool of potential employees companies have to chose from is so rich with overqualified people.

This keeps trickling down the system and then when all those positions are filled, there is still so many overspilled people left over and they have to work outside their field.

But if we lived in smaller communities, we'd be able to create more positions for people within those communities.

We also need to stop industrial farming. We shouldn't have "diverse" supermarkets. The planet wasn't made to sustain that. Nor were we. If I'm from Europe, I shouldn't be eating things from South America like tropical fruit because my body isn't designed to live off that. If I want tropical fruit I should travel to tropical countries to get it, I shouldn't be able to walk into a supermarket at buy as much as I want. That industry is so fucked up.
