As slimy as the Democrats are, when the chips finally turn so far against them, they may have no choice but to be the first to the table for a deal. I would be equally as surprised as anyone else to see Mueller actually investigate and report the truth, but if the FBI comes up with anything off the smashed hard drives which looks pretty likely now that Imran has been arrested, then it's extremely likely that not only will they be able to pin (((Wasserman-Schultz))) with some serious federal crime stuff, but the whole house of cards will begin tumbling down.
First Imran, then Debbie, then the entire upper echelon of the DNC, then Hillary and Kaine, and on and on… It stops when they play along and decide to cut their losses to stop the bleeding unless Trump refuses to make a deal and someone hires a really good investigator under some serious personal protection from suicide via three bullets to the back of the head.
If they begin the investigations, Seth Rich will come into play, the DNC leaks will lead into wide-ranging charges from committing conspiracy to subvert democracy and embezzle money to treachery and sedition.
Alright, guys, let's see who talks first!

You're right, but in my mind, it's more a matter of how far they're willing to let it go before they simply throw someone under the bus, and how much the public is willing to let it slide before they are out in the streets with torches and pitchforks demanding Democrat heads on pikes.
Whoever comes to the table first gets the best deal, and while I doubt the people in charge are thinking very far ahead, someone is going to eventually get the idea that they should throw someone under the bus to save their own skin… if it's not too far gone, it just might work to stall the investigations so they can either tie up loose ends, pass some strange legislation to push things further in their favor, or make some other play to feebly attempt their ill-fated coup.
Oh, boy. It's finally happening. I get the feeling all of this is gearing up towards a civil war, and I really don't want to be in this area when it happens.
